She confessed to oft repeating the stories of being so poor that they had to eat opossum to keep body and soul together but admitted to never actually tasting such beasts.
Y.T. videos abound on the subject but the flesh is mostly trimmed of the offending fat that was often cited in the tales of yore. Which begs the question, if the tallow was so noxious and pervasive, why wasn't it simply removed back in the day ?
