The good old days were better because

- we were younger
- we didn't really know about all the crap that goes on in society, politics, financing etc. etc. etc.
- pre-teen and teen years were occupied with visions and wishions of the female persuasion
- we had no long-lasting high-impact responsibilities
- we were younger
- and had more energy
- and if I haven't mentioned it yet, we were younger.
