Shot it w/o the can, as you suggested. I forgot any sort of screwdriver, so I couldn't raise the elevation on my optic.
It wasn't grouping well, but it was grouping better. I honestly can't tell you that shooter error wasn't involved, either.
Somewhere not far past 100 rounds, if it isn't cleaned, it's going to have issues with the bolt slowing down, I got some failures to fire because the bolt wasn't fully in battery. The Winchester HP I was using was notably dirtier than the CCI Mini Mag, even w/o a can. And the inside is, for the moment, just filthy.
