First attempt at a custom built AR
I like the brown and am glad to see you went with a longer barrel. Those close by when you are shooting will too.
The high mounts get your sight plane over that front sight. You may want to look into one of the carrying handle rear sights with a quick detachable sight through scope mount with it. Or you can put on a low gas block and go with MUCH lower scope mount
Being old hand I go with the full sights with a scope mount.
You gonna to feed it some game bullets in December?
I use a piece of slotted pool noodle to give me a comb high enough for a decent cheek weld with a high scope mount like one gets when the scope has to be high enough to clear the front sight.
Gotta find a piece of 1 1/2 - - 2" gray pipe insulation instead of the bright blue pool noodle though.
