Color me easily amused, I guess, but it was great fun ordering the pin from Belt Mountain the old-fashioned way. Really.

It might seem even less sensible of me, but it also increases my confidence I'm on the right track toward helping my friend solve the problem with his revolver.

PS: The other thing I ordered along this line was a Wolff extra-power spring (Pkg of 3) for the base pin latch. I was thinking of also getting him the two other small parts that make up the base pin latch assembly, but I couldn't find them in stock (plus I'd already reached my friend's 'budget' for this phase of the 'project').
