Anybody know the advantage of a green dot scope or a combo red dot/ green dot scope? I was wondering if the green dot can be seen better in bright sunlight.

It can be seena litle better but, try and find a quality

My Acog has a amber triangle works OK but the red on my Eotechs and Aim points works fine, you just turn them up a bit in the broad daylight. I wouldn't worry about it just focus ion a good A2 to A4 AimPoint.

I have had a couple of these Bushnell red/green dots on AR's:

The green for me was better in low light. The lowest setting on red was too bright but the green was 'mellower' in low light. Most red dots I have had have had enough adjustment to work in low light but the green is just another option.

Red dot best in spring...

Green dot best in fall.:-) :-)
