I picked up a Model 28 with a four inch barrel last week. Got it pretty cheap from a guy who retired somes years ago from a guard job at the Angola prison in Louisiana. It has been caried a lot, but shot a little. Shoots very good. I will enjoy it.

Got any pics to share? The 4" Highway Patrolman is one of my favorite S&Ws. The ultimate using pistol, or pretty close. :)

Sorry I forgot to enclose a picture. This is one of my older Model 28 with 6 inch barrel and the one I got last week with a 4 inch barrel. I killed several deer with the 6 inch about 40 years ago before I learned that you can't kill a deer with a .357. Glad I learned this before I killed a bunch more with it. I will likely send the 4 inch in for a refinish and some grips soon.

I want those grips on the 4". I have some pretty nice grips I could swap for them. How about say, a pair of Bear Hug rosewood grips that will fit it? Yep..I know I will be taking a beating, but what are friends for?

Boge
It is hard to tell who stole the revolver.
I made so much profit on that gun that I was almost ashamed to take your money.
So it worked out for everybody...

...except the poor schmuck who sold it to you for a dollernahalf!
