Crazy what you can find in a barn.......
Needed a bit of work done on my log splitter to get it ready for fall and took it to a guy down the road with a welder...
When the repair was complete we wandered around his place a stopped to visit in one of his barns...
Offered for consideration...

Only mods are a exhaust and headers...aftermarket intake with the coveted 6 Pack (3 2 barrel carbs) to replace the OEM 4 barrel....
He bought it new and drove it daily until it reached the point where it need a comprehensive going through....tires...brakes...shocks....clutch....engine wiring...cooling gone throught..etc...
He did not have the money at the time and the car was parked to never run again....

Crazy what you can find in a barn.......
So, did you make him an offer? Is it for sale or is it just sitting there mouldering away until it ends up in a scrap yard somewhere?
Crazy what you can find in a barn.......
Interesting find for sure. The owner probably already knows what it is worth. When I was a deputy sheriff, we had a large barn out in the County, which always attracted the hippies and druggies looking for marijuana and magic mushrooms, It was grown through out the area during WWII for rope. Any we would get a call from the owners neighbors about a bunch of strange people wandering around the buildings and yard. We found out the barn had quite a number of classic Mercede's the deceased owner had picked up over the years and stored in the barn. Most were in great shape and desireable collectables. He had been an Air Line Pilot for many years and found them in various parts of the world. Pretty nice cars. He also knew their value on the market and had left them to his family in his will. We wanted them moved so some nutcase wouldn't torch the barn and destroy them all. Intersting what you can find in some barns. have a good day.
I'm no Mopar man but that's cool!
Earlier this summer I saw a pickup killing a car hauler trailer that had a '63-ish Corvette with about the same amount of dust. Made me happy that there are still 'barn finds' out there!
Coolest cars I've ever run across in a barn
I prowl peoples houses, garages, and barns for a living. All three were in the same barn. A specially built car barn, but a barn none the less. I've seen numerous Ferrari's, Bentley's, Aston Martins, and Porsche's in garages through the years. But #1 was the my all time coolest to run into.
#1 1957 Indy Racer built and driven by A J Foyt. This guy bought it at auction in Europe from the head of the Porsche Design Division.
#2 1930something Lincoln of which only 7 were built per owner.
#3 Some old LaSalle fresh out of complete restoration.
Curious it is.
That ain't no Offy exhaust pipe pattern I've ever seen. It looks for all the world like the know-it-in-my-sleep small block Chebbie. Nobody be running Chebbie chunks in an Indy car in 1957!
JLF
Foyt in '57
A.J. Foyt was still driving midget cars in '57, or so says Wikipedia.

My grandpa once owned a LaSalle (second-hand).
The story ALWAYS included the comment that it was second-hand! Also, IIRC it was a 1927.
