I've had a few 9 emm-emm's but I keep giving them away. This one I think I'll keep.

Sorry for the poor photo...The first-string camera is "on holiday" and the second-string shows why it has that position.

Hoot, it pains me to say this, but...

You got took! I'll tell you what I'll do. I'll give you fifty bucks and a box of Goo-Goos for it. Yea, I know what your thinking, no need to thank me, I'm always willing to help a brother out.

Nice "pick-up"

Joe

The Pawn shop nearby has one.....

by Harry O-1, Wednesday, August 29, 2012, 11:56 (4471 days ago) @ Hoot

It is listed as "VERY RARE" and priced at $1,695. Either he know something I don't, or he has been smoking something strong.

Oh, yeah. That'll work...

It turned up at my favorite pusher's table last weekend. He played coy with me from the git-go. I didn't even look at it closely at first....then I got a bit excited. I have seen exactly 2...and this is the second one.

Moon clips are on the way although it can be fired without.

Now, where can I find a 9mm "Keith bullet"? :-P

Cast/swaged bullets

by bpjon, Friday, August 31, 2012, 08:58 (4469 days ago) @ Hoot

I look at that and can't help but think that a mid-weight 38 special bullet, shoved through a Lee .356 bullet sizing die would be just the thing.

Slug the bore

Before assuming anything, slug the bore. IIRC Ruger barreled these with .357" barrels, just put 9mm Luger chambered cylinders on them.

Their 357/9mm combo Blackhawks have had standard .357" barrels.

You bet Mark

My thought as well. Lesee, 9mm dies with a .38 expander and .38 bullets....assuming I have throats to tolerate it, it could get interesting. Bullet selection sure wouldn't be a limiting factor...
