Have a 617 that was shipped, according to the box, with the S&W combat stocks. However, when I bought it someone replaced them with the oversize target grips. Does any one have a set that they would care to sell? It has a square butt.

If Woody does not have the Combat type I may be interested. Thanks.

An alternative to factory combats:

I can wholeheartedly recommend the Herretts square target grips that CDNN offer from time to time - slimmer than factory target grips, cocobolo with decent figure, fine fit. $30 or $40. My only negative comment would be that I do not love the poly finish, which can be stripped and replaced with a nice oil finish.
They are not custom grips, but they are as nice as any readymade grips I've found for my S&Ws.

I do have a pair of these. Just trying to get the original replaced. Have a question about the CDNN Herrets. I have Formbys Tung Oil. How would that be for re-finishing those grips?
