A Very Cool 'Period Custom' 1911
Probably the 'best' example of the classic PCS that I've ever seen...

My guess would be ca. 1980 (± a few choice years).
I only wish...[SIGH]...
Enjoy!

I went to bid and then I saw $1700+... I don't have that
to spend...

Very cool, too bad about the LT. scratch...
That LOOK captured my attention for a long time.

Very cool, too bad about the LT. scratch...
That 'LOOK' still captures mine. I tricked out a Delta Elite to pretty much look exactly like that.
Murphy
I lusted after one of those when he was building them, I
imagine it stacks up well against todays customs.
The Tyrannosaurus Rex of carry guns...
back when I started tinkering with them.
Me, too...I mean...
Neener...

About the LT. scratch...
So many of them have one − 1911s with an 'idiot scratch' − I've finally decided in my 'olden age & wisdumb' that they pretty much 'belong there.'
[FULL DISCLOSURE]: My own favorite 1911 has one, too (even if I didn't do it to it...)

Agreed. Even without scratching them, mine
develop wear in that area and others if they are shot at all.
If I had the money to jump in on this it, wouldn't bother me
very much.
