24. August 2, Tulsa World – (Oklahoma) Alleged threat on U.S. Rep. lands man in jail. A man remains in custody after police said he entered the Skiatook, Oklahoma police station and threatened to kill a U.S. Representative from Oklahoma, Tulsa World reported August 2. The suspect entered the police station July 22, the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said. The suspect complained the congressman was "doing some farfetched thing and said he was going to harm the congressman," an FBI special agent said. A police officer arrested the suspect with the belief he posed an immediate danger, and he was taken to the Tulsa jail, authorities said. In an affidavit, an officer wrote he believes the suspect is "mentally unstable and is in possession of a firearm or firearms and would be capable of carrying out the threat of death or serious bodily harm to [the congressman] or someone believed to be [the congressman] if he had the means." Upon serving a search warrant at the suspect's home, police found weapons that include a shotgun, several rifles, fighting knives, and an AK 47-type bayonet, as well as more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition, a body armor vest, and a Ku Klux Klan pamphlet, court documents show. The suspect posted bond and was released from State custody but was later arrested on federal complaints by the FBI, the special agent said. FBI? That's funny!
Sounds to me like he's a goofball with some problems. If his actions were as reported, he needs a little "observation" time.
His "arsenal" doesn't bother me, but his behavior sure does.
JMHO
Oh, he definitely bears watching
I just love what they said about having - horrors! - a bayonet.
FBI? That's funny!
What people don't seem to understand these days is it is not the possession of weapons that makes a person dangerous, it is bizzare behavior, and bizzare behavior is seemingly acceptable as "self-expression".
People who are into that "self-expression" stuff make me want to put my hand in my pocket.
+1. Went to a piano recital
This strange character was wearing a T shirt that said "It's people like you that are the reason I take drugs." I wanted to tell him it's people like you who are the reason I carry a gun.
Keep your mouth shut....
And your back to the wall....
Unless it looks like shooting is inevitable....back off and be the best possible witness you can be.....fade away....things go high order....go for it....shoot them to the ground...
Like the Recon Marines say "be polite, be professional and have a plan to kill everyone you see"....

Back to the wall and watching in public venues but don't tread on me.
