I load and shoot for the 6.5x53R Dutch cartridge. Data should be danged close.
Latest Rifle(?)/Reloader(?) has a Mike V. article on the Italian jobber.
If I can help, holler.
Ahh, the Flying Dutchman. I remember it well.

Nice to see it still being used.

6.5x50 Japanese here. IMR3031 works well in mine. I have an old (30-35 years) Lyman manual that has some data for the Carcano.
I had a pair, one 6.5 and an 8mm.

Both were the stubby carbines. I fired the 6.5 with surplus ammo, was very docile. IIRC they have a progressive rifling twist. I didn't have the guts to fire the 8mm. They were reworked in WWII to fire the German ammo, I decided to pass.
I had an older Hornady book that had data for loads.
