Does any one make diffrent colors for the front sight insert. I think a flat black one would be good for me.

A sharpie or testers flat black paint will get you there.

is the easiest of my Baughman-sighted S&Ws to see in all conditions except the dark.

Get a plain ordinary picnic plastic spoon and light it on fire. It will burn with a dark sooty smoke. You can run the sight through that smoke a few times well above the flame and it will leave a sooty deposit on the sight that will blacken it. If you decide this is what you want then just get some flat black paint to put on it. Either of these can be cleaned off in the future if need be.

Many years ago, they made a front sight insert kit with assorted colors. I don't know if they still do.

Thanks Jack. Just what I need if they still stock it.
