Today I bought a new plastic and steel toy - thought I'd try some of the new stuff so picked up this Springfield XDm 5.25 comp model in 9mm. Works good ! That's two 20 round and one 10 round target @ 7 yd at the indoor range. All 10-ring size groups.

How is the trigger?

They can be tuned up very nicely.

Trigger is a little heavy at this point, I'm used to

tuned 1911's, but I expect it will improve with use. I like the positive short reset. If the pull doesn't improve, I'll go with one of the aftermarket trigger kits.

Of all the polygunz out there

The XD is probably the one that can have the best trigger pull done easiest.

I've been very impressed with the XD.45 with just stoning the sear/striker engagement.

No spring work that might cause misfires.

It's not anywhere near what you can get on a 1911, but then, it's not a 1911

Dumped striker spring work on Glocks after experiencing a very few, but quantifiable amount of misfires with .mil 9mm ammo.

If failure is not an option, whatever work you do, shoot that gun a lot before you trust it.

It will get shot a lot. nm
