Paging Boge. O/T
I've been enjoying your pickin' productions on Gunblast. Are you using a puter program and an interface for your over-dubbing?
JLF
Thankee, Jack! I'm using a Fostex MR-16...
...Digital Multitrack Recorder. Very slick machine, basically a 16-track HDD studio. It has effects loops and such, but thus far I haven't used them, other than a bit of reverb. I mix onboard & export via USB.
When will you release a cd?

Thankee, Rob! Maybe I'll have a surprise for YOU soon!
I'd be interested in get a cd of your music too, Boge.
Techie Stuff
Since I'm using the Variax, I'll use a puter interface from the amp, and a program like "Rifworks" for loops, overdubbing, and mixing. I can lay down a 12 string bottom, or some such with the Variax, and then switch it to one of the other guitars for lead tracks. Then throw in a little slide work on a National switched to open D tuning. I have no idea how well any of this will actually work, I'm still waiting to pick up the interface.

You're about to throw a serious craving on me...
...for a Variax. Never had one in my hands but those things seem to be amazing!
No Complaints
So far, it's a doozie. Of course, if it wasn't a clone of a red sunburst Les Paul, I would never have noticed it.:) Since I'm not in any sort of band, it works out. I did play with some ol' boys who all had accoustics. I switched to an accoustic model, and they all seemed satisfied and impressed. But I expect it to really shine with this recording stuff, where I can mix and match what works together. We shall see.

Resurection of the Boot Heel Express?
I can see it happening. All it takes is one original member, and dat's you.
One Thing Fer Sure
I'm now in a place where such possibilties could occur. That weren't the case in poor dead little G-ville.
