The C2 vertebrae is growing back together very well. The bottom of it is fused and the top part is coming together. The Doctor said she will set up a CT scan in a week and if it is still improving, she will have me come in to her Office. We will do neck X-rays with my head in different positions. If the C2 is stable, she will put me in a soft collar and set up rehab for the neck muscles. She was very positive about the direction things are going.

Honestly, I don't remember any sarcastic comments. Other places I got questions why an 80 year old guy was driving a fast go kart, like that was something weird. The best though was the Doctor when I was in Rehab. He was interested in my life so we talked about traveling around the world, living in foreign countries. When I checked out of Rehab he said, "I probably shouldn't say this but I hope when I am your age I do something similar."

Now when folks tell me, "Act your age!" I can tell them, "Well, there's this guy I know, that at the age of 80..." And I've got a ways to go to catch up!
