"Procedure" tomorrow and I'd appreciate some cover.

The procedure itself isn't too bad. It's a matter of removing dead bone from my jaw. I've gone through it before...it's uncomfortable and a little painful. Recovery isn't bad with a couple of days before things settle down. Needless to say, I'm not looking forward to it but it will promote healing in the long run.

Folks, I'm just plain getting tired. Tired of the seemingly endless Dr. appointments. Tired of the regimen of pills. Hell, tired of being tired. My head sometimes ends up in a 'not so good' place and I don't like that.

If you can please wish me enough endurance, patience and grace to keep going, I'd sure appreciate it. Also, Melodie has to put up with my grumpy azz...I don't know how she does it....

Hang in there...

I know (from observing, not personal experience) you're facing a rough row to hoe. Thank you for fighting the good fight. You are highly valued, to friends and family.

Sending up a prayer for you my friend.

I've often wondered how you've been getting along with your treatments. Sorry to hear you're having to go through another procedure. I'll be keeping you (and Melodie) in my prayers.

It can be a daunting challenge to face life’s travails without the accompaniment of your friends. We are here for you, thick and thin.

I’m so sorry you have to go through all of this, physically and mentally. I wish we could be there in person to help, but we are definitely ‘here’ for you. Sending up prayers for mental strength and physical healing for one of my very favorite people in this world! Take care of yourself, Hoot.

Thank you all.

I can usually maintain my good humor and attitude but sometimes things build up on a guy. Yesterday was frustrating on a couple of fronts and I decided I needed a bit of help. I have an incredible number of blessings from a very loving (and forgiving) wife and family to the best friends a fellow could ever ask for. I appreciate you all from the bottom of my heart.

Back home now parked in the recliner and just a little sore. A couple days to straighten out and we'll be back to our usual demeanor.

Now, let's talk about guns or hunting or some other fun stuff!

Hoot, sometimes-

it's easy to get your "head down and locked". Been there and done that. But that "keep on keeping on" stuff is correct. Then all of a sudden you're past that mudhole and on the other side and God got you through it and you didn't even realize He was pushing you.

God Bless you, my friend. Hang in there!
