More .41 Magnum

Yesterday I was testing some of the 230 gr. NEI bullet with Bullseye. I was not impressed with the groups. They were OK but not what the gun is capable of. I had a box of my old standard load for the NEI bullet ... 15.5 gr. 2400. I fired a group and it looked good so I immediate shot another group.

25 yards using a rest ... the black was my Point of Aim

There is 1/16" difference in the size of the groups.

I fired a 5 shot group using a two-hand hold while sitting down after I shot those two. It was almost exactly an inch larger. I sure ain't as steady as I was when I was a young lad of 55!

After I got done shooting I noticed the cylinder pin retaining screw was loose. I checked the gun over and the ejector rod housing screw was loose and all the gripframe/trigger guard screws were loose!

Back in the shop I used some loctite on them. I wonder if that will cure the flyers and move them a little to the right? :-)
