Tyler TrueFit grips

Nabbed a set of micarta Tyler TrueFit grips "for N frame" last month with the idea of putting them on my 26-1. Nice grips, crummy fit. Dagnabit.

Fast forward, and by golly, they fit the K frame pretty well - a shade proud, which is easier to fix than a shade short.

"The problem" is is am all out of K frames needing magna type grips plus a matching Tyler T-grip. What is a despairing middle-age goon to do? Don't enable me... just kidding, enable away.

The grips themselves are pretty nice. Paper micarta, nicely finished... perhaps a bit too yellow-ish if I had my choice, but certainly fine for a hard use gun, where hard use means stuffed into a pack or rubbing against a seatbelt etc.

No pics yet because the fitment isn't fit to print.

Tyler TrueFit grips, I’ve owned a few

I always found them to be very well made, and never really minded the yellowish color. My understanding is that particular type of paper micarta is no longer available, so there are folks who are searching for clean examples. I want to say the last set I sold about 5 years ago went for about 75 dollars, and the buyer was quite happy at that price. I’ve seen them listed for a fair bit more.

My experience is that the two sets I have owned were as you described, ever so slightly oversized which is obviously far easier to deal with than undersized.

I wish there were similar grips on the market these days…..
