My father officially went into hospice today
He's in real bad shape from dementia and won't eat. In a way his passing will be a blessing but it is hard to watch and "hospice" has such a permanent ominous ring of finality to it.
I am so sorry to hear this. Prayers said for you all...

I was in your shoes with my Dad a few years ago. Im sorry your going theough this, but there is some solace in the fact that they are at peace, spend every minute with him during these last few days. Thats my only regret, that I wasnt thre when he passed. God Bless

Hospice
Think I've told you this before, but the hospice folks were absolutely great with my dad. They work with the whole family as well as the patient, and were a great comfort to us all.
It's never easy, but accepting a peaceful passing....
is a comfort to the loss. It is still an ending, but a beginning, as well. God's blessings to your family.
Very sorry Tom.
Prayers for your Dad and his family and friends.
I'm sorry for you... I know how hard it is...
My mom is at the end of her stay with hospice.... She'll be with the Lord in a day or two now....
It is hard to watch this stage of a parents life. You feel guilty for putting them in hospice and guilty for not doing more, but there is nothing left that you can do for them but love them and spend time with them. Part of the cycle of life I know, but so very hard none the less.......
The hospice agency that is helping with my mom has been simply wonderful in their care of her and support for the family. Far better for her than being in a nursing home or a hospital....
God be with you and your family.

It can be final & is for most who go there but the people are trained to do what needs done. I minister in those places & for the most part they are good places. The Lord be with you in this trying time.
