when I was just a wee lad "they" used to tell a tale of a mister ______ who must have succumbed to something suddenly fatal whilst in his swine pen. All that remained was his gold watch, overall's metal hardware, dentures and the soles of his boots. The first mentioned items had been all the way "through" one or more of the beasts.
