Johnathan A. Ciener's website is still going! He's been out of business for while, and all the inventory moved over to Ebay where there are exactly 7 items up for sale. I don't think this site was ever updated since creation.

I have no kind words for that….man…

When I got my AC-556, I picked up an older Ciener conversion from a freind. It was unused and worked ok, but leaded the bore horribly. After looking online, I realized that the ‘newer’ versions had a feed ramp built into the chamber insert and mine did not. It was shaving the soft lead .22 bullets pretty bad and letting them not seal up the bore very well, causing horrible leading. Also shooting .22LR at around 1200 rounds per minute didn’t help! Luckily I only had the one mag so we couldn’t shoo them too fast!

Anyways, once I realized the issue, I got on his site and of course you could not order online. Had to print out an order sheet (I didn’t have a printer) and mail in a money order. I did that along with shipping and tax and whatever else. Several weeks later I received a letter from JAC stating that the price had gone up and I owed him whatever it was more, $12 or something small. The two things that really pissed me off was that he was also charging an ‘invoice fee’ for his not mentioned price increase and that cheap bastard had re-used an envelope like you would get to mail in a credit car application or something! I really wanted to tell him (via snail mail) to shove the extra charges up his A$$, but I knew I’d never see my chamber adaptor or my money back so I sent him the extra (in the form of another money order I had to pay for) and eventually got the newer version of the part. Have since referred to him as JACass any time he comes up.

Certainly a grumpy dude. I spoke with him once from Fairbanks when ordering a G17 .22 conversion. He offered COD but wouldn't for shipping to AK. He didn't seem interested in knowing that the mail was the same to AK as it was to one state over from him.

Apparently he was arrested in 2011 for fraud. Years earlier the ATF was sniffing him up.

His .22 handgun conversions were top notch though.

I have an older Kimber branded 1911 conversion kit. I am pretty sure they were made for kimber by him. I dug it out this weekend and put it on a pistol with the intent of going shooting but something came up and I didn’t get around to it. Mine is a good shooter and a while back I inked up a few extra magazines t supplement the two it came with.

Yep, he made the first Kimber units

I have a few Glock units and for Govt and Commander. It's amazing how much the BHP units go for when they turn up on Ebay.
