Out of surgery, in recovery, doing good, tired and sleepy. I will let him expand on it with further details once he can.

Doctor says everything went as planned. Just this morning getting feeling back to my mouth, cheeks and lips. Apparently he used a 'time-delayed' anesthesia which will act over something like 96 hours. They gave me a "Jaw Bra" which wraps around my face and holds a couple of bandages in place. It looks a little silly like I need some bunny ears or something. I get to take that off later today and assess the damage. No real pain...maybe "yet"...but the good news is that my previous pain seems to be gone.
4-6 weeks of liquid, moving to liquid-ish diet. Follow ups, etc. I haven't been able to open my mouth very far but I can feel some strings(?) on either side which are the braces they told me about. They'll come out at some point.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers,
Hoot
Good to hear of a successful outcome.
