Standard Manufacturing SAA

Does anyone have experience with the Standard Manufacturing Single Actions? They're almost as expensive as actual Colts, but I've read that they're a bit better.

I have never seen one other than in photos ...

but I was told they are larger than the Colt's. I do not know if that is true. The USFA single actions that were made in the old Colt plant are as good or better than the best Colt SAA's. However they are as much as a Colt these days!

The other thing I have never understood. USFA made great guns, but started making "zip" guns also. Now I see Standard doing the same exact thing! I do not understand why.

There is a smaller local shop that has bought into them and is pushing them hard. They look nice, but see, a bit ‘overpolished’. I’ve also read a few times that the use parts and screws that are of let’s say non standard dimensions. That can be good I’d cylinders are bigger for strength or other parts are beefed up, but if parts aren’t available then you’re kind of SOL if they go belly up. Or are just too busy making new guns to have extra parts around…
