45 acp chrono data........

I loaded some of JimT's 45 acp load, no lead bullets of that weight on hand so I used Berry's plated 230gr RN with 6.0grs of 231, averaged 843 fps with a spread of 59, shot pretty good as well.....

4 shots were .385" and .95" for the 5 shot group, shot clean and no issues. While I was at it I dug into my stash of 45 acp ammo and chronographed them as well. I made a chart, top 5 were from today and included some past data too. Gotta say the factory Gold Dot 230 gr surprised me with the velocity reading, actually did a double take at the screen when I saw it, thought for sure I misread it.

The Gold Dots run fast in all the calibers I have tried them. Even in handloads.
Out of my Rossi .357 leveraction
125 gr. Gold Dot JHP 21.5 gr. H110 = 2317 fps
