TODAY IS DRY-FIRE DAY

I was gonna go to the Range but it's raining and the wind is gusting to 19 mph and I am staying home!

When I was quite a bit younger I shot and hunted in rain, snow, sleet, high winds and about whatever nature threw at me.

No longer.

It's just not a challenge to me anymore. At least not one I will engage with. :-)

Sounds like a plan. A good plan! (nt)

...

The weather cleared up and I made it to the range!

About noon the sun came out, the wind died down and I grabbed my stuff and headed to the Range. I took my old .357 Ruger Flattop. The ammo I grabbed was loaded probably 20 years ago. 160 gr. cast SWC and a heavy load of Military Surplus AA7. I shot these at CSA out of my Rossi 92 and they sure were accurate for me.

I shot these today and they are typical of all the targets I fired. Some were larger but these two are about average. I maintained a well-established habit I have of pulling a shot out.

I ran a couple hundred rounds through the old gun. I really like this sixgun.

When I was in my teens and 20s I shot when the temperature was in the teens and 20s. I've noticed over the years as I've gotten older the required temperature for shooting has stayed parallel to my age!
