This old pig farmer from Missouri agrees with all you said. #1 Gun & ammo must be 100% reliable (shoot a lot). #2 Shot placement is paramount (shoot a lot). #3 Two holes one in, one out, with LOTS of damage between is always best. #4 There is no such thing as a magic bullet (see #2), But a well placed, medium to heavy for caliber, jacketed or cast bullet with a substantial meplat carries a lot of Bad JuJu.
