Well, Jim Taylor, here's proof I was thinking of you today..
Didn't quite nail the focus on the old manual Vivitar 70-150mm lens, but it's the thought that counts...
Thank you .... forgive me but what am I looking at?

How quickly you forget...
the new flowers on a mango tree... Should have some dropping to the ground in a couple months or so. Mangos that is. The flowers will disappear first.
Ha! OK. Thank you. I do miss fresh mango ....
and fresh papaya ... and the little banana's that make the store-bought ones here taste like wax.

So I won't rub it in by...
mentioning we've got a HUGE ripe papaya to share with the church tomorrow and a hand of almost ripe tiny bananas on the counter quickly turning yellow. To rub it in would be cruel so I won't. That's one thing we really miss when we're up north, fresh fruit all through the year. On the other hand, the apples down here leave a lot to be desired and I've never had a decent peach here either.
We were able to get good apples in Mozambique.
Never did get a good watermelon. The ones they grew there were sorta ok ... not very tasty. And they were always round like a basketball and had bright red seeds.
