.22 mag rifles; I have been wanting one since iwas 15 or so
last week, I located a 94XTR in .22mag for 559 at the Sportsman's Warehouse in Cortez Colorado. It's in great shape but a lot of money for a .22 mag even if we will never see them again. Yesterday at my local gun store I found a like new 982 Marlin with 4 Bushnell scope for 239.00 I handed Jim 250.00 he gave me back a 20 and 3 boxes of JHP mags...2 boxes are Bitterroot Valley 40 gainers, and the one is a new box of Hornady 45 JHP "Critical defense" cartridges... Hum, they mist not have consulted with Dr. LeClerk

Knuckle head................
Please re-read my comments on the .22 Magnum.
I like the round in a rifle....
Enjoy....

I thought I bought one for myself a while back.
Ruger M-77/22 Mag. A little cosmetically challenged but decent little rifle. We took it to the range to tweak in the scope and Miss Melodie announced she was claiming it for her own. She's deadly with it too!
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
Har! I know...
I'm a knuckle head.

.22 mag rifles; I have been wanting one since iwas 15 or so
I recenlty picked up a 9422M in aNIB condition for 550....and then got a 6.5 inch Smith in 22 mag to match it...now gotta get out ans shoot them....always wanted the Winchester since back when....saw this by accident and grabbed it...doubt it has been shot....
Shoulda gone for the 9422M, Rob. It's hard to do better
than one of these if you want a 22 Magnum rifle. They're a little outdated when it comes to adding a scope, or more importantly a receiver sight, but they're still great to have.
Love my 9422M! My "first stage" *** gun is a win 69 loaded
With flat tipped CB longs, and the factory rear peep will sink one between the running lights easy enough.
However, the worst feral ***s are smart enough to run after spraying - but dumb enough to stop and look back. The "second stage" 9422 22mag works a hardship on 'em well past the 69's range.
Try a reciever sight from a Browning T-Bolt .22.
My 94-22M reciever has grooves for scope mounting. I swap between a fixed 4X compact and the T-Bolt peep depending on what kind of shooting I am doing.
