Nothing cool enough for me to lay out cash for thouhg…

A neat 7.5” open top on 38 spe. If it were a 45, I would have bought it.

A Taurus gaucho 7.5” in 357. For 399. Again, if it were a 45 I would have bought it to try out. It was stainless and pretty smooth, but the transfer bar gave it an odd hitch in the cocking action.

Also a Schofield, also in 38 and another open top, but shorter barrel and an unconverted 357 three acre for a decent price.

The most interesting was a stainless 4-5/8”. Bisley with both 45 colt amd acp cylinders bit it wa o er 800 bucks. They also had a freedom arms 357 in the over 2000 range so due to caliber I wasn’t interested. I had every intention of possibly spending some hard earned cash but no dice today…

I have stumbled into the shorty Schofields a couple of times but haven't wanted to bust out the wallet on any of them.

If you send that Taurus back for repair work, they keep it and send you a voucher towards another gun. That revolver and their Lightning Pump clone.

That’s interesting. I guess I didn’t know they stopped making the Gaucho’s. I haven’t heard anything about them in quite awhile. I wish I would have picked up one of the pump .45’s. Then again, if they aren’t making them anymore, maybe they weren’t so great. I think Hoot has one but don’t recall his opinion of it.

I’d love to have one of. Top break smiths of large frame sized but I’m just too cheap. There was a nice 38 special at a shop down on the river for $800. If it would’ve been a 45, I would have probably taken it.

I’ll just have to be happy with my little lemon squeezer and my old Webley MkIV…

Did not know that

Have three Gaucho's, two 45 one 357. Never never an issue with any of them. All are very tight and accurate. If anything breaks (doubtful), they won't be going back, too easy to keep a SAA running.
