Ruger has had a 30-30 out for abour 6 months...
44 mag last month.

I recall a bunch of folk griping about "why not a 357 magnum?" when the 44 hit, didn't recall anything about the 30-30.

Competition is good for the market and IMO the lever action market could surely use some.
Beat Ruger to the punch...NOT QUITE!
The prices, oh my...
Street prices are a bit here and there but the MSRP, well, it boggles the mind. Never mind the cost or availability (or lack thereof) of ammunition. Maybe .30-30, .35 Rem, and .45-70 are readily available somewhere but we have lots of customers or potential customers come to the store (or call) looking for lots of lever gun standards. Another producer can't be bad.

By about a decade!
They made their Rio Grande model years ago. It was a bit different but had a very strong 336 look to it.
The Rio was available in 45-70...
Let's hope this new model is also.
