You can buy them without ID and Federal Forms and government interference. You can mail them through the US Mail. You don't have go through a Dealer. The last one I bought directly from the importer. It's just about like the old days!

I know what you mean... I started back "when" with a 1860... today I still have a 1851 Short barrel (in .44 thou) still loaded and ready to go... my 1860's (Colt reissues) are in a case on the wall... I also have a couple of Remington New Armies (1858 for those that think that way)... one of which I "ehem" installed a Kirst Konverter in .45ACP to see how it would run ... "just an experiment of course"... Sorta "Pale Rider" itch... ran better than I expected... shot better than my Pietta 1873 with a .45ACP cylinder... what a surprise that was...
Yup... BP was king way back when and in lots of ways ... still is...

I'm still looking for the pictures of when I was about 4 or 5, all get up with my rig and vest and hat. Hopefully, it's in my Dad's things.....we'll see!
