Took the Forgotten Single Six to the Range Today
Ran a couple hundred rounds through it. It was windy with 10 to 12 MPH gusts ... all shot at 20 yards.
Aguila .22 Long Rifle copper plated hollow point
CCI Mini Mag
Remington Golden Bullet hollow point
I had Gary Reeder cut the barrel to 4 5/8". I had him put a Ruger Super Single Six front sight on it and open up the rear notch. My old eyes can see it better than the small sight. I had an all-steel ejector rod housing I installed on it.
Nice looking little popper Jim.
I need to do this as well. I have long neglected my little Rugers.
A couple more pictures ...
Reeder's Deep Dish Crown
Super Single Six front sight
Gripframe and trigger guard I put on this gun 20-some years ago. The trigger guard I thinned to aid in my quick-draw. Or at least I thought it did.
Simply Rugged holster
All steel ejector rod housing from Bordchardt Rifle Company.
Did you shorten the front sight?
It sure looks like it. How low was it shooting with the "standard" front?
I don't remember where it hit with the original sight.
I filed this one down until it was close at 20/25 yards. When I got it back from Gary it was hitting about 1" low. I did not take much off.
Lovely - A keeper for sure!
