Pin fire pistoleroing

Here's an interesting bit of videography detailing the elaboration of some 11mm pinfire rounds using 45 ACP brass as the basic case for forming.

And here's the video on testing, including post range trip diagnosis.

I've been intrigued by the pinfire system for some time. It's good to see someone else so afflicted - and with the means to scratch the itch. :-)

This priming system makes a lot of sense

I suspect this system would be very adaptable to the 11mm revolver or other pinfire system rounds that one can use a regular modern cartridge to form from.

Seems like a good use for small primer cases.

I don't have the equipment required (wish I did) but it's interesting. I note that he didn't really have any lube during the loading.

Seems like a good use for small primer cases.

I noticed that as well. Seems like a grease cookie underneath the slug would at least leave some lube for subsequent shots. Small primer cases bored out for a percussion cap carrier like the other video shows should work dandy. Although I don't know how the extractor groove would affect the placement of the pin. Makes me wish I had a chance to play some with the idea.

I'll send all my small primer cases to you then...
