COLT BLACKPOWER ARMS (CBPA)

I picked these up from a reader just before Christmas. They were made in the 1970s first in the Colt factory and then after two years move to the Iver Johnson factory. Parts are from Uberti, Colt and Iver Johnson. They are beautifully fitted and finished with the real Colt blue finish. Colt provided a 120 page workbook on how these were to be put together and they had to pass Colt inspection. I came up with two 1860 Armies, one stainless and the other blued with the full fluted cylinder; one stainless 1851 Navy and one blued/CH 1862. I spent the afternoon replacing the factory nipples with SliX-Shots and also made sure everything was grease properly and de-fanged the face of the hammers. Waiting for spring!

Those are too purty to shoot, John! Just kidding. (nm)

Very nice! I owned a 2nd gen 1851 years ago, but wasn’t set up to shoot C&B and ended up selling it to a collector. It was very slick though. I didn’t know they made them in stainless. They look good!
