Reprocussion - Colt Pocket Pistol
A copy 1849 Pocket Model .31 Caliber. It was my father-in-laws and when he passed I inherited it as no one in the family wanted it.
I shoot it once in awhile. Does not use much lead or powder. As a self-defense gun it would be a good close range one because hardly anyone carries a fire extinguisher to put themselves out and at close range it would set someone on fire.
It is very accurate at barstool to barstool range.

I was thinking of this one as I watched the video. They don't touch the brass framed ones, probably because it wasn't "authentic" enough. That is a cute little popper. In the video they show a 90 or 100 yard shot, with a conical if I recall correctly. Amazing bit of accuracy for the platform.
I am glad I did not get the paper cartridge kit for the .31
I am ham-fisted and thick-fingered enough that making the .36 caliber paper cartridges was a chore. The .44's are much easier to make for an old fumble-fingered guy like me.
The .31 shoots OK. I have never tested it for accuracy.

I keep eyeing the 1849 Pocket reproductions, but for the money would rather have an 1851 or 1862 Navy in 36 caliber. They sure are cute, though. The Wells Fargo with out the lever is even cuter. And it makes sense to load 'em off the frame as there's not much room on them for large hands and fingers.
with one of those you'd want 2 or 3 cylinder ....
