You are shooting 100 rounds a week and are limited to one DA 44 magnum. Would it be, a new Anaconda, a S&W 629, a Ruger Redhawk?

My mistake. I should have been much more specific. Available recent/current production, $1500 max. neighborhood. 629, Redhawk, Anaconda, Raging Hunter, six shot cylinder. I've never seen a 5 screw Smith 44 magnum, could probably buy a Korth 44 for what one would cost.
THAT CHANGES IT!

I find that I shoot my 4" Redhawk, NOT my 4" 629-1 when shooting .44 Mag. I think that it is because I want to reduce wear on the 629, because I don't care how much wear I put on the Redhawk, because I feel that the Redhawk can stand up to anything, and... because that big Redhawk is more comfortable to SHOOT full effort .44 Mag than the 629 is. In fact, for me, the Redhawk is the MOST comfortable .44 Mag to shoot as it comes from the factory. I LIKE those factory Hogue grips/stocks. I have wood Hogues on the 629 and these are hands down the most comfortable I've ever had on the gun and have a box of grips I've tried on that gun.

on Monday. I could not believe the price the owner put on it. $1100 and I paid $600 for my .44, has the dollar been devalued THAT much in 12 years?

Redhawks are pretty hot right now. My understanding is that Ruger is behind on production, and supplies are limited. The 45 Colt/ACP are in serious demand right now. I remember buying .357,.41 Mag, or 44 Mag Redhawks new for around $300.00 in the olden days.
