Percussion Cap Unavailability.....

by RayLee, Friday, December 02, 2022, 02:42 (658 days ago)

Can't find them anywhere. Not exactly low but buy them as I find them, often paying the exorbitant haz mat + shipping. So when the so-called experts & industry insiders go on utube and say that we might see some in 2024 I thought I'd go strait to the source(s). Haven't heard from cci but I got this from remington.....

Thank you for contacting Remington Ammunition.

We are not currently set up to ship percussion caps direct to consumer as they require additional certification and shipping fees as a hazardous material. We are always looking for ways to enhance our website offering and will advise if and when this changes.

The #10 and #11 caps are an active sku that we are shipping to dealers.

Percussion caps are only available through a dealer.
You are able to see what dealers are in your area: https://www.remington.com/where-to-buy.html
We don't have access to what dealer's inventory is. Inventory at any store is constantly changing.

Thank you,

Got me a nearby academy sports and they only seem to carry cci 11s which were, of course, out of stock.

I found these but can't really use them. cci 10s are far too small for any of my guns.

Percussion Cap Unavailability.....

I stocked up the last time they were available about two years ago and had to pay eight cents apiece for both Remington's and CCI's at that time.

I think I paid 10 cents each by the time I paid the HAZMAT and the shipping. But I was happy to get them.

Ray ... get an old set of nipples for your gun and turn them down so you can use #10's ... gotta make things work with what you have. :-P
