New To Me .....
A copy of Colt's 3rd Model Dragoon. I ordered it last week and it arrived today. I got a pretty good deal on it as it is used. However I cannot find any indication that it was ever fired. The cylinder has not even been turned much. The trigger seems heavy but that is easily corrected. It is a HUGE old horse pistol! Weighs a bit over 4 pounds. That'll drag yer britches down!
My 7 year old grandson holding it.
britches dragin down.....
Yep. Looks like it done happened to your grandson there.

Now that is living !
Reminds me that I have several percussion revolvers loaded that need to be cleared and cleaned. Alas, all work and no play

That should be a fun one.
I have always been drawn to the Walker and Dragoon for some reason.
Potential ersatz conical .....
Hmmm.......? These come in nominally 200 and 250 grains weight.....
R.E.A.L bullet driving band dimensions are as follows:
.45 caliber - top .467 - bottom .452
No wonder...
what with the Walker Colt being the official State Firearm of Texas... Go ahead and order one. Your Texan Credentials are in question until you've got one in the stable.
