Passed a law banning promoting hunting and shooting to youths, according to the Safari Times. $25,000 fine for simply communicating about programs that teach hunting and shooting. Even your own children! No Hunter education or gun safety programs. No school sponsored firearms teams, or youth hunting. No social media, leaflets of flyers, videos or magazines articles. The legislation makes it clear that each copy or publication of marketing or advertising prohibited by this section shall be deemed a separate violation. Even the state’s own fish and wildlife agency can’t create support and promote hunting and shooting sports to youth. SCI filed a lawsuit in federal court challenging the ban on youth marketing.

A little first-amendment problem

That legislation, banning communication about a lawful activity, will face significant problems the moment it comes up against a judge who has maybe heard of the First Amendment to the US Constitution.

Of course, it's California, so I don't know if they have any of those.

SCI has filed a lawsuit-they have the funds to run with it.

The commies know it is unconstitutional. They pass these laws so we will have to fight them in court. Their mantra "the punishment is in the process", is about this very thing.

Surely we would of heard of such a law going through legislature, and all of the hub-bub it would have created, before it was passed and enacted.
Too weird even for kalifornia.

Such a beautiful varied state and unfortunately . . . Well . . .

Filled with that kind!
