Colt New Navy manufactured 1899. Marked on barrel COLT D. A. 38
A little loose with a heavy trigger. Still shoots pretty well.

An acquaintance of mine at 24 Hour Campfire just snagged a 4 1/2" first model Colt New Service, in 45 Colt, which has substantial pitting but would do fine for a shooter. And while picking the 45 up, he noticed a pristine 5" Police Positive and bought it too.
