Best source for pure lead?
I've an unexpected trip north coming up in a few days. I MAY have a chance to dust off the old lead pot and cast some projectiles for the cap and ball resolvers. Do any of you have a good source for pure lead for such an endeavor?
Best source for pure lead?
I have several hundred pounds of it. We got it several years ago because they were using big pure lead plates for ballast in aircraft that were being flown into the San Antonio Airport where the planes were fitted with new interiors.
I would be happy to share if your travels invclude San Antonio.

Thanks, Scott!
I'll be landing in Houston, but only have an hour and a half layover before heading on to NW AR. Someday I hope to get back down to that corner of Texas, it's been far too long. This trip (at this point anyway) will be limited to a very short radius from my Mom's place.

Will your trip coincide with the Confederate Sixgunner event?
That's a good question, and one I'd not considered yet.
Since I'm "never" up there at that time, I can't even tell you off the top of my head what the dates are.
OK. Just took a look at Jason's email. I really don't know what's going to happen over the next few days/weeks, but will probably be back in Coffee Country before CSA happens - probably. But we're still scheduled to travel back north by the end of May and Raton is in the plans for a certain week in June. We need to figure out how to care for Mom and that's what I'll be mostly dedicated to for the next period of time. I've found, however, that having a project helps take some of the stress off of otherwise difficult situations. I'm thinking a bit of casting might be that project, if I can find a safe place to set up and still do my part in the care giving.
NW Arkansas
I am in Siloam Springs. The weather here is nice today but rain ect is moving in tomorrow according to the weatherman. Depending on your mothers situation I can ask some people that have had recent knowledge of care facilities in the area.
