Need a source for GC bullets.....

by Gunner @, St Louis, Saturday, September 25, 2021, 16:04 (1091 days ago)

I am looking for some gas check 38-55 lead bullets for plinking, I have some Montana Bullet Works, really nice bullets but they are a little too pricey for general shooting. Lost my source when Leadhead bullets closed, shame, nice people who offered really nice bullets.

Anybody know of a company offering them???? Sized .379 or .380" is fine.

Thanks,
Gunner

ps
still looking for a RCBS 38-55 Cowboy die set also.

Missouri Bullets offers traditional lube as well as 'lipstick bullets'
Here => https://missouribullet.com/details.php?prodId=113&category=6&secondary=35&k...

"Bullet Man Dan" sells on GB and (I think) through his site (which is clumsy). Anyway, here is a link to his offerings--including GC => https://bullshop.weebly.com/-37-caliber-cast-bullets.html
I've shot a bunch of his bullets and think they are well done and he's a knowledgeable shooter/caster.

I checked one of my best shops for dies on Friday--no dice, but they are on order. There's another shop north of here that I haven't gotten to yet. I'll let you know.

DON'T NEED E'M FOR PLINKING. I HAVE FOUND THE .38-55 DOES FINE WITH PLAIN BASED BULLETS UP TO AROUND 1450 FPS IN MY MARLINS.

that's what I was thinking

.38-55 velocity doesn't require GC, if you want more velocity then get a .375. I'm late to the game- I've seen people talk about polymer coated bullets and I was wondering if they would work for slightly higher velocities in lieu of gaschecks.
