Found a keg of Win 571 Powder... (HS7) Any useful data?
Hi -
I have been cooped up with my lovely wife, and She Who Must be Obeyed directed some deep excavation. I survived, and on the upside I discovered a 5# can of Winchester 571 powder. It's marked $19.95 on the top.
I see it's the same as HS7. Is anyone using this stuff to push .45 Colt or ACP? or .38/.357. If so any pet load would be appreciated.
Also - I got a .327 Fed Mag. Brass is pricey. Anyone had a source?
Thanks & Stay Healthy!

I've been studying on that 327 Federal for a while now,
https://www.starlinebrass.com/327-federal-mag is reportedly some of the best out there, but $0.26 each in a bag of 500, free shipping though.
I think the .327 Fed is worth the expense. I have both the
Starline and Federal brass. Starline better. Have 2 Single-Sevens (blue Bisley and early Stainless) with 5½-inch barrels. I like the XTP bullet, too. I have not tried a lot of powders with it though. Was going to shoot it a lot last year but had the house re-build and now...

I used some 571 in 357 Mag, 8.6 gr pushing 150 JHP. Was accurate for me.
+1 On Starline better than Federal brass
I may try annealing my Federal brass, lots of split cases but they are all once fired brass. 100 gr. JSP which chronographed 1600 plus from my Single Seven. That's a lot of stress.
+1 On Starline better than Federal brass
That is 30 Carbine performance in my Ruger 30C with GI ammo, high pressure for sure.
