Medium size for the 1911....question- have you ever tried a 6 inch 1911 in the holster. How does it fit, secure enough for field carry???

And have dropped several 1911s out of it. The springs get weak with age and no longer retain slap-sided autos well. Mine is reserved for revolvers now. Some of them had a leather retaining strap that was held in place with snaps, which would help retention but do nothing for speed of draw.
