Marlin 1894CL .32-20 for Sale on Gunbroker
For those of you who might be interested, I've listed a Marlin 1894CL in .32-20 on Gunbroker. It's a nice gun, but my interests have changed and I'm focused more on sxs hammer shotguns and single shots now.

If someone were looking for a cowboy action setup in that caliber, I also have an Italian clone SAA in .32-20 and a Winchester Model 1897 in 12 gauge that I'd be willing to part with on quite reasonable terms. No leather, but a fair start to a full setup.

Great guns. I have one already, but I've put a bid in on yours. I wouldn't mind having one to chop up like Jim Taylor did so many years ago. He wrote about it on the Leverguns site. I think I'll go see if his article is still there and read it again.

If you wouldn't mind, I'd love the link to the article.
Thanks.

Another thing
I thought I remembered Jim's barrel being shortened when he had it worked on. Looks like he left the barrel alone and put a full-length mag tube on it. Silly memory.
I still want one like his.
When Jim moved to Mozambique I bought his .32-20 stuff
aside from the rifle as I already had one. I will just say that I can verify most of what is in the article.
Just as an aside, this might be a great gun to convert to .327 Federal. I think the .327 Fed brass is better suited to the high end loads. I load my .32-20 to about factory levels with the Lyman 3118 bullet.

CONVERTING A .32-20 TO .327
WOULD REQUIRE CUTTING OF THE CHAMBER END AND RE-CHAMBERING AS .32-20 IS LARGER IN DIAMETER. I STARTED WITH A .32 MAGNUM--MUCH SIMPLER.
Found it
Thanks
my 32 fed without any modification, just needed ..
re-chambering......simple enough that even I could do it.
query as to the 32WCF age...
is this rifle from the original run with CL-prefix to SN, or the later circa 2003/4-2007 run with standard datable SNs?
query as to the 32WCF age...
I will have to check, as I don't know offhand.
query as to the 32WCF age...
It has the CL serial number.
Ah, yes...

It makes a value difference
the latter guns often assembled in a very demoralized Marlin factory. It makes a difference to me, anyhow.
Buyers set price, but to me, those selling for, or paying, the price of the early CL guns on non-CL guns, are off base.
