I don't know if any of you remember "Big John" Delavan. Just got word that he passed away on January 3 of this year.

I used to exchange the occasional message with him. Right nice fellow, sorry to hear of his passing. He had his share of health issues, but that has passed obviously. He is in the Sweet Home now, may his memory be eternal.

Yes, indeed. Former Special Forces, former law enforcement. Also bladesmith, gunsmith, leather worker. It was my pleasure to visit him a few years ago at his home in AZ. His site is part of the Frontier Sixshooter family of sites...

still working 11 hour days.....feel like there is a lot I am missing out on... and may not ever get to do...

have lost several good friends and colleagues in the last year or so...makes me paranoid indeed.

I remember him. Sorry to hear of his passing. I had not looked at his site before. He looks like a very interesting guy and I feel like I missed out not knowing him better.
