Blackhawk Grips

I need to find a set of presentation style std Blackhawk walnut grips for a friends Christmas present on pretty short order. My budget is a bit limited of course, I hadn't budgeted for this. I looked at Altamont, but they are big on checkering, and my friend has already mentioned that he doesn't like checkered SA grips, so that's out. He's more the smooth, highly figured walnut sort of guy. Any suggestions? I need something classier than factory grips, but going over $100.00 won't work.

You might check EBay or Hogue Auctions

I've seen some makers post pretty good grips on ebay before. The $100 price range might be a little tight but maybe you can find something.

Scott Kolar or Dick Thompson both make grips for SAs

SK custom grips on Face book.
Dick Thompson prefers to sell you finish blanks... Scott might be over your limit, but I WORTH IT!!! Let him speak for himself. Rod Herrett still makes fine stocks go look at Herretsstocks.com

Thanks for the suggestions, I have a set on its way from Esmarelda.Cocobolo, with red Ruger medallions. I would have preferred not having the medallions, but they'd have to make them and time is precious.
