The M27-2 came home with me last night! I swear it’s 98% and looks factory test fired only. As I mentioned in my earlier post, I'd also laid claim to a like condition M19 with smooth factory targets, but I decided not to take it - I didn't need to be making shooters out of two safe queens, and besides, I don't like ramen noodles that much ;) !

I have a soft spot for old 27's and pre-27's. Years ago I carried an old 3 1/2" S frame from when they were still checkered down the top strap. That one made quite a fireball when you touched it off with Federal mag HP's in a dark alley about 2AM. You just about didn't need a flashlight ;)

THERE ARE NO "S" FRAMES. THERE ARE N-FRAMES WITH SERIAL NUMBER PREFIX "S"

JT I'm afraid you are fighting an uphill battle on this one. It is like getting people to call a standard .45 caliber a .45 Colt in stead of a .45 "long Colt". They see a K and serial number so it is a K frame, therefore if they see an S to them it is an S frame. I do wish you good luck with your effort though.
